Cheerio Christmas Day 13: Ziziicrafts

On Day 13 of Cheerio Christmas, we have the Founder of Ziziicrafts, Jasmine! Jasmine is a talented craftist who is skilled at creating handmade resin pieces that you see on Ziziicrafts. This platform allows Jasmine to express her creativity, where she also accepts customised orders from customers who love her craft. Most of her pieces are inspired by Japanese or Korean culture, and we love how colourful and pretty they are to look at!

We speak with the creator of Ziziicrafts to find out more about what she does.

Q: Tell us more about your business!

A: Ziziicrafts launched in November 2018 when I was having a hard time due to work and school. I mainly hand-make resin pieces as a way to de-stress.

Q: How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

A: The Japanese culture played a huge part in my life, especially in my early youth. My interest has now expanded to the Korean culture as well. Therefore, the designs I create are all inspired by Japan or Korea.

Q: What was your mission / goals when you first started?

A: I enjoy looking at colours and blending different colours together but my drawing was not the best. Thus, I thought crafting would be another viable way for me to express my creativity through colours. My goal was to always have the freedom to express my creativity.

Q: How has 2019 been for your business, and what are you looking forward to in 2020?

A: I had my first pop-up experience in September, and I had a blast with my friends! I got to meet so many talented artists in Singapore as well. My business was never about making money, I just love and enjoy meeting talented people and supporting each other. 2020 will be get busier but I hope to participate in more pop-up events.

Q: What are the greatest joys and challenges running this business?

A: My greatest joy is when I get to interact and meet talented artists all around the world. One challenge that I have is actually funding this hobby. We all know good quality supplies are expensive!

Q: Out of all the products you retail, which is your personal favourite and why?

A: All my crafts are my favourite but if I needed to choose, this Kingdom Hearts piece (pictured below) is my favourite because Kingdom Hearts is my favourite console game.

Q: What would you say to someone who’s looking to start their own business?

A: Determine the reason why you’re starting this business and the direction or look you plan to portray through this business.

If you’d like to get one of her customised pieces, Jasmine will be running a promotion this week for all of you! Quote <TCW10> to enjoy 10% storewide with Ziziicrafts! Promotion is valid till 18th December 2019.
